A beautiful rare original Civil War Patriotic Token from 1863, approx. 19mm diameter with great details, you can still see the stars in the flag. Obverse: U.S. Flag symbol, “THE FLAG OF OUR UNION” and date of 1863. Reverse has “IF ANYBODY ATTEMPTS TO TEAR IT DOWN – SHOOT HIM ON THE SPOT” and DIX. This is one of the harder to find Civil War tokens, especially in this great condition. Slightly darker toning on token than shown due to photo lighting.
